Literactive.com is a wonderful literacy resource for children and teachers. The site contains a multitude of interactive story books and materials that can be used at home or in the classroom.

This site is geared toward pre-school through Kindergarten but would be helpful to beginning readers of any age.

The Kindergarten Guided Reading section contains leveled readers, nursery rhymes, and poetry books. Worksheets for learning ABCs and pre-writing are available for download in PDF format, and the Activities section includes numerous interactive games including memory and sequence games.

If you'd rather your child or student complete activities in a sequence, check out Literactive's Road to Reading online phonics reading program. The Road to Reading contains even more literacy activities and would be perfect for a computer center. Literactive.com also has ESL books and activities for Spanish-speaking students who are trying to learn the English language.

You must register for free in order to access or download the materials on the site.

My kindergarten class and I were excited to discover that the Road to Reading is finally back online!!!

I have just discovered this site. it is great! However, as mentioned above, I can not access the Road to Reading portion. It starts to come up then goes blank.

My children love this website but it will not open on my computer. My children are very upset that they cannot now write their name or read any of the materials. We cannot access the site. Please help we need this site returned as soon as possible.

Loved the site but for several months now the road to reading section will not open up.

Has the Literactive site been trashed? My anti virus / malware software goes crazy and most of the site will not properly display. Google has a warning that "this site may damage your computer".
