BusyTownMysteries.com: For the Curious ChildDo you have a child that loves to explore? Are they curious about the world and objects around them? Then this is the website for you. The Canadian animated television series, Busy Town Mysteries, has a very creative and engaging (and free) website for young children, BusyTownMysteries.com. |
On BusyTownMysteries.com, children can play games, participate in activities, and do creative projects. Every portion of the site gives verbal instructions, so it's easy for pre-readers to follow along.
Upon entering the site, children will be prompted to select a character and a car in order to explore Busy Town. Once inside Busy Town, your child can choose from many interactive areas of the town such as Downtown, the Countryside, the Wharf, or the Park. Inside each area are different places to visit that contain various games and activities. Your child can visit the Post Office to read and write e-mail, go to the Garage to change or decorate their car, or visit the Movie Theater to watch clips of the Busy Town Mysteries cartoon series!
As your child moves through the interactive town, they will also have the opportunity to collect butterflies, paint, take pictures (which can be printed or e-mailed to friends), and recycle. This is only a snippet of the fun that can be had at BusyTownMysteries.com. This site is definitely worth visiting!
