Neopets.com is very popular. You can have up to four cyberpets per account, and you feed them and buy them toys, clothes and other accessories. In order to afford this, you need to earn Neopoints by trading or playing games.
Another vitual pet website is Marapets.com. Here, you can take care of a virtual pet that someone else has abandoned, or create your own, new pet. You can even send your pet to school! Marapet is a community where you can join forums or participate in contests. You can also play dress-up games with dolls.
At Moshimonsters, you do not adopt and care for an ordinary pet like a cat, dog, fish, rabbit or monkey, but a monster! You can then get a home for your monster in Monstro City, and show it off to the world! To buy food and other stuff for you virtual monster, you need Rox, the currency of Monstro City. You can earn money by solving puzzles.
At Foopets.com, you adopt a very realistic looking abandoned cat or dog from a shelter. Some cats and dogs cost about 20 USD to adopt, but there are also a few you can adopt for free. You can play with balls or a frisbee, or feed your new pet.
At Furry Paws you adopt a virtual dog and then train, feed and show it. They have over 190 dog breeds to choose from.
In the virtual world Shidonni.com, children play with animals that they draw online - a combination of Windows Paint and a virtual pets world. You can also draw food and clothes for your pet. You can even play games with your friends.
