60+ Educational Games And Games Resources

If you are looking for game sites to be used in education, the blog Free Technology For Teachers has a list that is a good place to start.


In October 2009, the blog Free Technology For Teachers published a very popular list of 35+ Educational Games and Game Resources. There is also a follow-up to this list, called 25 More Educational Games and Game Builders, making a total of 60+ online game sites with educational content!

Sites include Grammar Blast, BBC's Skillwise, Scavenger Hunt Through History, Owl and Mouse Educational Software and many more.

Many of these sites are already reviewed here at Educational Freeware, but there are certainly many new gems to be found as well. Enjoy!

Looking for interrative music education software to use on new interractive whiteboard?

Years ago I used a computer program that allowed me to type my own quiz questions with 4 multiple choice answers. My students could take the quiz over and over as a self-study program. It worked great for helping them study vocabulary or other memory type facts. Is there any free ware like this any more?
