Alice.org - Learn 3D Object Oriented Programming

Alice.org provides a friendly 3D drag-and-drop interface for learning the basics of object oriented programming. In Alice version 3.0, Java coding will be added in cooperation with Sun Microsystems.

Also in version 3.0, Electronic Arts will be providing the game characters from the Sims 2 series to enrich the Alice environment. This will be a great way to inspire computer game-playing kids and teenagers to learn some basic coding techniques.

Alice is a complete OO programming environment, supporting data structures such as arrays, lists, functions with parameters, recursion, and an object-based data model.

Alice was developed at Carnegie Mellon University. It is free and available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
